ThermiTight Skin Tightening in Boise, Idaho
Silk Touch Cosmetic Surgery and Medspa is the first to bring ThermiTight skin tightening to the Treasure Valley in Boise, Idaho. This micro-invasive and the long-term procedure is the latest technology in treating skin laxity.
How does ThermiTight work?
ThermiTight is a micro-invasive procedure with little or no downtime. A tiny probe is inserted under the skin. Then, radiofrequency energy is applied directly to the target tissues causing immediate shrinkage. This treatment can be done as a stand-alone treatment or in combination with Liposuction for optimal fat loss and skin tightening.
What areas of the body can be treated with ThermiTight?
Because ThermiTight uses such a small probe to deliver the radiofrequency energy it can be used across the body. These are the areas we use ThermiTight at Silk Touch:
- Lower face
- Neck
- Breasts
- Upper arms
- Abdomen
- Back
- Thighs/knees
ThermiTight Downtime
ThermiTight is a micro-invasive procedure performed using local anesthesia. Patients may experience slight swelling and redness and are usually able to return to normal activity within 24 hours. If this procedure is done in combination with Liposuction downtime will depend on the liposuction procedure.

ThermiTight FAQ
ThermiTight tightens the area immediately as the wound-healing mechanisms it initiates in the body begin with the immediate remodeling of the collagen at the treatment sites. But the real results from ThermiTight begin to show in a few weeks and they continue for up to 4 months. This is when the body really kicks into wound healing mode with the production of new amounts of collagen to heal the perceived wounds across the treated areas.
ThermiTight is a single, stand-alone treatment.
There are potential side effects with ThermiTight™ because it delivers the RF energy beneath the surface of the skin. Some people develop numbness or tingling in the treatment areas. This usually passes in a couple of weeks, but it can endure for up to three months. There is also the chance of nerve injury, bleeding, infection, and burns, but these are rare. Some patients can have some swelling at the treatment sites that can last for up to three days.
During a ThermiTight session, the ThermiRF device has an internal sensor that monitors the temperature and maintains it at safe and effective levels. This can vary depending upon the area being treated. An infrared thermal camera also monitors your outer skin temperature. If the temperatures in either location rise above safe levels, the system automatically shuts off. ThermiTight is a safe treatment.
We provide a local anesthetic to the areas where the ThermiTight probe is inserted, so there isn’t any pain. You may have some feeling of warmth in the treatment areas, but patients don’t feel it is uncomfortable.
