Silk Touch offers JUVEDERM lip injections in Boise, Eagle, and Meridian, ID.
JUVEDERM can erase wrinkles and smooth away the telltale lines that make you look older than you feel. Facial wrinkles and creases are part of the aging process and begin to appear as the underlying collagen and elastin fibers break down. While this breakdown is part of the natural aging process, it can also result from excessive squinting, frowning or smiling. JUVEDERM is also often the preferred treatment for Boise lip injections to create fuller lips. Its unique composition creates a very smooth natural look.
Taking advantage of JUVEDERM injectable filler treatments or wrinkles fillers may now mean that you’ll look closer to 35 when approaching that dreaded 50-year mark. JUVEDERM® is among the most popular of all dermal fillers, particularly for smoothing out deep nasolabial creases – the “parentheses” that become etched around the corners of the mouth from smiling.
JUVEDERM treatments can also postpone your facelift. Your peers may have had to have 2-3 facelifts to achieve the same result as JUVEDERM injectable fillers.
What is JUVEDERM XC?
JUVEDERM XC is a gel filler that instantly smooths away wrinkles around your mouth and nose. With just one treatment, you’ll get smooth and natural-looking results that last up to a year.*
JUVEDERM XC is manufactured using HYLACROSS™ technology, creating a smooth-consistency gel. It is infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment.
With JUVEDERM XC, you get the smooth results you expect, with the improved comfort you want. Everyone will notice, but no one will know.
Whos is the ideal candidate for JUVEDERM XC?
As long as the wrinkles you’re looking to treat are static wrinkles, Juvéderm is an awesome solution. Static wrinkles form due to sun damage, declining collagen production, and other environmental factors. Static wrinkles tend to show themselves at all times. Juvéderm and other dermal fillers are meant for static wrinkles.
However, if your wrinkles form due to muscle contractions under the skin, these are known as dynamic wrinkles. Crow’s feet, the 11s between your brows, and most forehead lines are all dynamic wrinkles. Juvéderm does not work on these wrinkles — they are the domain of BOTOX.
Also, because hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in the human body, adverse reactions to Juvéderm are very rare.
What is Juvederm XC Used to Treat?
Everyone’s skin ages differently and JUVEDERM may be used to rejuvenate multiple problem areas. From smile lines to vertical lip lines, you can smooth away unwanted wrinkles and restore natural contours as well as frown lines in the forehead, furrows between the cheeks and nose, indentations or acne scars, crow’s feet around the eyes and an absence of fullness to the lips.
What happens during the JUVEDERM XC treatment?
The JUVEDERM filler is injected into the dermis or second layer of skin. An anesthetic is often combined to make the treatment much more comfortable.
The JUVEDERM injection procedure takes around 30 and 60 minutes. Some swelling and redness at the treatment site may occur. This generally fades in a matter of hours.
The JUVEDERM injection temporarily plumps up or fills in the wrinkles, scars, lips or contour irregularities. An effective series of treatments consists of only one treatment at a time. The treatment intervals are between 6 months and a year depending on the filler in our Boise office.
Additional FAQs About JUVEDERM
JUVEDERM is a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid – a naturally occurring substance in the body – which adds volume and hydration to the skin. Since it is not animal derived, it requires no pre-testing, and does not cause the allergic reactions associated with animal products. Results from JUVEDERM can last 9 months or more.
There isn’t any preparation necessary for Juvéderm injections. These appointments at Silk Touch can easily be done over your lunch hour or a brief break from your normal activities.
Juvéderm is made from hyaluronic acid, which occurs naturally in the human body, so reactions are quite rare. The most common side effects include tenderness, swelling, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, slight pain, redness, and mild itching at the injection sites. These side effects have proven to be generally rare and last just a couple days if they occur. One thing about Juvéderm is that if a lump develops at an injection site, or if the patient doesn’t like the look of an injected location, Dr. Kerr can instantly neutralize the filler with the injection of an enzyme known as hyaluronidase.
There aren’t any restrictions on activities after having your Juvéderm injections at Silk Touch. You can get right back to work or your normal activities. You may have some slight redness and swelling at the injection sites, just as you would with any injection. Otherwise, Juvéderm provides instant results, so your lines, wrinkles, or areas where you wanted to add a little volume are fully visible as soon as you leave our Eagle Road offices. For the first day you’ll want to avoid rubbing the injected areas so not to move the filler before it is fully settled.
No. Juvéderm is used only for aesthetic purposes. As such, it is deemed to be an elective procedure by insurance companies, and they do not cover these treatments.
